Happily Un-married

I have been in a committed relationship for six years. We began committed and have stayed this way as our relationship deepened. Our relationship has been smooth sailing but when we did finally have a glich it was nice to have Dr. John Curtis help us and offer his book for addional insight. It helped us to get into the depth of our issue and work it through without a separation. I hope anyone considering living together in a life long relationship read this book and apply the principles.

Wonderful Tool!

I have read Dr. Curtis' other book, The Business of Love, and when I saw that he had another relationship book out, I knew I had to read this one too. What a wonderful tool for anyone in a cohabitating relationship, preparing for one, or who knows someone who is in one. It gives very specific tools and information that you and partner can do together to strengthen your relationship. It also helps you deal with other people who may be against you living together. This is a highly recommended book!

I highly recommend Happily Un-Married to any one who is thinking about living together, getting married or un-happily married. I have given this book as a gift to several young people who were on the fence and need to take a time out to consider all of their options. I love this book because it is objective without a specific agenda. As an expert Whine-ologist and Savvy Granny, I know there is not a one-size fits all for any relationship. Dr. Curtis is not a whiner and but rather a wonderful winner! This book is a great companion book for my survey, Thou shalt Not Whine .....The Eleventh Commandment which will be published next month.

This wonderful little book, so easy to read, tells about an amazing natural product that can save the lives of millions, no matter how primitive their status. It can bring health and balance to the millions of American seeking health, beauty, and the fountain of youth.

Dr. Marcu writes so that the scientifically untrained can understand what she has discovered. She writes with infectious inspiration and hope. She makes the reader excited about this tree, eager to use it, and anxious to help societies around the world by making it available to them.

Dr. Marcu also writes such practical advice about everyday diet and health. She makes the reader examine his/her lifestyle with a revealing eye.

I don't see how anyone could read this book without making changes in her/her life. You will come away inspired - and, hopefully, finding ways to make the Moringa tree part of your life.

What a relief to find health information that is helpful for everyone. Such a simple concept yet seemingly kept secret over the centuries by developed countries. Heal your health! Read this book!

I have multiple health problems and drank the Moringa product and noticed that my head felt clearer very soon afterwards. I had a sense of calm and fullness. This was not expected and in fact I didn't know what to expect. I will continue my nutrient drink as a supplement and hopefully significantly improve my health.

I loved the book and appreciate the down to earth humor that made me feel as though the author was personable which gives me more confidence that this truly is creditble information.

This book is alternately inspiring and terrifying.

Inspiring to see the raw energy of so many talented designers. Terrifying in the overwhelming number of beautiful, spontaneously rendered concepts.

Most of my sketchbooks have phone numbers and lists of "people I think are a jerk today".

For seasoned designers, it's a rare glimpse into the intimate workings of other professionals process. For students it's an alternate textbook, a real world look at the work that goes into creating all those shiny design annual pieces.

Following sacred stones to Ireland and the Continent

This compliments Julian Cope's "The Modern Antiquarian," which mapped colorfully and lavishly over 300 sites where one can visit the megalithic legacy of Britain. Expanding to Ireland and Europe for this volume, Cope and his family explore the stones left in places such as the Mediterranean and the Atlantic shores. A colorful and substantial work, it's a labor of love.

He allows you to share his imagined recovery of a past few of us now can grasp at all--and how places become sacred. "Generations may come and go, but the great oak or yew on the edge of the grove remains the same. Mother's back grows crooked and bent, but the valley where the sun rises at the hottest time of the year shows no sign of change whatsoever. In a physical world awash with new significance, the new settlers will return again and again to marvel at the permanence of landscape features that they may have seen only fleetingly during nomadic times." So he writes on p. 24.

The rock, Cope suggests, where children played twenty years on may be pointed out to their children. One may have once fallen asleep, dreamed on that sunny rock, and told friends of what was vividly dreamt. This story may be related to one's own children. They may play on "parent's rock" and what was dream may in time turn ritual. Others may try to fall asleep on the rock, to dream dreams, and some eventually will recount a dream worth recounting to others in the settlement. So the practice begins, of the dreaming-rock, and this may be conjured by the community as "the stone that speaks."

He enters into the mindset where the Great Mother ruled, and he's not afraid to be bold. Concerning etymology and sexuality, chapter five compiles "The Book of Ur." Not Abraham's Ur of the Chaldees birthplace, but in this "etymosophy," a list of words related to ancient goddess-wisdom. Ur leads us to Eriu, Erin, and Erse-- alongside Eros-- as wordy relatives nearest my home-turf. Koeur, Hoeur, Bree, and Ma may be discerned even by the Lindsey Lohans and Oprah-fans of today as nestled into terms such as "core, corpse, corn, kernel, chord", as "her, whore, house, heretic, haughty, hurricane," as "Bridget, pregnant, pretty, pray, braid," and as "matrimony, marry, mate, Amazon, and Macha"--whom he links between the "pre-Keltic" formidable queen of Emain Macha in Ulster with a grove-spirit burnt by the River Kidron by her son King Asa in 1 Kings 15:13. That shows the scope of this elucidation.

Cope offers three packed pages of miniscule if well-arranged (his books are easy to consult and fun to view) definitions. While some of these may not be supported by stodgier peers (and I wish sources for his interpretations were more evident), it's a mind-expanding read. One of the best book out there and a great resource to learn piano chords. Half way through this book I was able to play over 20 melodies I was familiar with but had never been able to play on the piano until now. Recommended for those wanting to quickly get some melody out of playing chords without the tedious conventional way of learning the piano. It gives you a quick, complete and accurate method to start making music .

Denis Nolan is an experienced market practitioner with over 35 years' experience in the global exchange, money and derivatives markets. Gordon Amos FAIBF FCIB is an international banking consultant, business adviser and lecturer with over 35 years' experience, particularly in treasury, capital markets, risk management and operations. About the Author

Eileen Myles has published twenty books of poetry, art journalism, and fiction and libretti. She's a Guggenheim Fellow, has received the Shelley Prize from the Poetry Society of America and a Lambda Award for lesbian fiction, and was named to the Whiting/Slate Second Novel List. She also received an arts writers grant from Creative Capital/ the Warhol Foundation and a Foundation for Contemporary Arts grant. She lives in Marfa, Texas, and New York.

at once funny and dark

Eileen Myles' "Chelsea Girls" has been an underrated underground classic for some time. The writer's sensibilities, at once funny and dark, profound and light-hearted, in transforming her experiences in the thrilling atmosphere in the East Village scene of the 1970s, hold up even better with time. This is often discussed as a lesbian novel, and it is that, but it's far more than that, and will appeal to intelligent readers of all genders and all ages. She writes prose with the same grace and energy and wit that made her early poems so wonderful and so exciting.

An unusual gift for my Grandaughter.

Bought this as a gift for my granddaughter. Not neccessarily a common book from your grandmother, but read a wonderful article, Books I wish I would have read when I was 16, from a writer I admire. My wish is that it introduces her to other lives, times, and experiences.

A Must For Those Looking Into Intercessory Prayer

If after reading this book your prayer life isn't affected you are blue and twitching on the ground, and breathing your last! Dr. Thompson does a comprehensive and Biblical job treating Intercessory Prayer interspersing each chapter with personal, practical experience. This is NOT a dry discourse, but a book filled with energy to change your life. It did mine!

Well worth your time

There are so many books on the market right now on every topic. This one seems no different. It is hard to choose which books are worth your time. I was required to read this for a Christian Discipleship class in college. It completely changed my life. I have given it to friends and family. Many of them are busy people, but I give it to them with a promise, "This is worth every second you spend on it; this will change you life."

Oscar Thompson gives you a glimpse of the heart of God towards people. It is not another "method" to seek converts. He shows you how to effectively love people.

Read this book. It is worth every bit of your time and money. Evangelism starts in the heart of God. Be a person after His own heart.

Concentric Circles of Concern

I read this book in school and I was blown away. The book made me think! It has radically changed the way I treat my family, neighbors, and those I may only meet once. This book also made me rethink ministry and do things 180 degrees differently. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to learn how to better deal with people, and who wants to grow in wisdom and sensitivity in the area of people skills. It will give you a passion for your life and ministry. As I teach others how to minister to people and how to tell others about Jesus, I use the principles in this book.
